TRNC declares 6 days public holiday to celebrate Bayram and Victory Day

The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus government has declared Thursday August 30 to Tuesday September 5, 2017 an official public holiday to celebrate August 30 victory day and Bayram.

In the 6 days uninterrupted holiday, Wednesday August 30 will be observed as August, 30 Victory Day celebration while Friday September 1 to Tuesday September 5 will be observed as Bayram. 

By the declaration, all public offices and services, with exception to essential services will remain closed until the 5th of September.

Police has announced that it has taken all necessary measures to ensure the public enjoys a safe and secure Bayram holiday.

The report also add that the state prison will be open to visitors throughout the Bayram holiday.

Meanwhile the weather is expected to be fine with slightly lower temperatures over the next week.
