Taylor Swift's new video smashes YouTube record
Taylor Swift is breaking records with her new single, Look What You Made Me Do' setting a new record for most-viewed music video in a 24-hour period, surpassing previous record holder, Adele for her 'Hello' 'song.
While the song was released on Friday, the music video landed on YouTube on Sunday and had since racked more than 35,519,224 views on YouTube by 3pm on Monday during its first 24 hours of release smashing through the records set by "Despacito," which got 22 million views in 24 hours, in 2017 and Adele's "Hello," which racked up 27.7 million views in October 2015.
Actually, it took less than 24 hours for the clip -- in which Swift both pokes fun at herself and introduces her fierce new persona --- to rack up 28 million views. At its peak, it received over 3 million views per hour.
The full video debuted at the MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday evening, without the 27-year-old singer present.
