Music’s biggest names gathered at the Forum in Inglewood, Los Angeles, California on Sunday for this year’s installment of MTV’s Video Music Awards.

From the biggest winner of the night, Kendrick Lamar with eight nominations to Katy Perry’s turn as host to new categories including Artist of the Year and Best Fight Against the System, the 2017 edition of the event was likely a memorable one.

Unfortunately, “Despacito Remix” by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee featuring Justin Bieber lost out on the song of the summer.
