Paper Round: Monaco weighing up £45m Alexis Sanchez bid, Spurs eye double swoop

It's Friday's Paper Round on OlomoInfo Blog. The papers are reporting that Monaco are considering a £45 million bid for Alexis Sanchez whilst Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing up moves for two players.

Monaco eye up Sanchez
We start with The Sun who report that Ligue 1 champions Monaco are considering a £45 million move for Alexis Sanchez. Monaco believe they can use Arsenal's interest in Thomas Lemar to their advantage as well as the massive salary and lifestyle they could offer Sanchez.

Our view: We don't know how true this story is but i doubt Wenger will entertain any bid for the striker. Monaco might not look an attractive proposition for Sanchez who has always wished for a move to City.

Spurs eye up Simeone and Meyer deals
The Mirror report that Tottenham Hotspur are considering moves for Giovanni Simeone and Max Meyer. The former has been offered to Spurs but they are yet to make their interest formal. However they are keen on Meyer and with just 12 months left on his contract the German attacking midfielder could be available for a good price.

Our view: The season is just a week away and Spurs are yet to make any addition to the team. Poch will definitely be under huge pressure to sign new players and so fans will likely see new arrivals in the coming week.

Bournemouth weigh up improved Gray bid
The Star reports that Bournemouth are weighing up an improved bid for Demarai Gray after they saw a £20 million bid rejected by Leicester City. The 2015/16 champions unveiled Kelechi Iheanacho on Thursday but are facing a fight to keep Gray with no new contract on the horizon.

Our view: £20m+ for Demarai Gray is outrageous. But that is the reality of the market. Gray needs game time and may see Iheanacho's arrival as a threat to his place in the team. If he manages to move Bournemouth, the club will be glad to have a good player on their hands.

Costa's lawyer hits out at Chelsea
The Mirror carry quotes from Diego Costa's lawyer who has said he will do whatever it takes to help his client leave Chelsea this summer and hold the club accountable for their behaviour.

Our view: Conte had informed Costa earlier in the season that he will not be part of his plans in the coming season so by now one would think his future would have been settled by now. So why is he still yet to find a new club. He favors a move back to Atletico but they are under ban and can't sign a player until January. Lets see what happens in the next few days.
