Mel B throws water at Simon Cowell on 'America's Got Talent,' storms off stage

For those of us that follows "America's Got Talent" show, you should be aware of the drama that played out in the middle of the lives show on Tuesday August 22 when Mel B hurled a cup of water at fellow judge Simon Cowell and then stormed off the set, after he made a reference to a very sensitive subject - her marriage.

Simon was critiquing a contestant when he began using a simile, comparing the failure of a magician’s act due to a technical malfunction to Mel B's honeymoon.

I kind of imagine this would be like Mel B’s wedding night, Cowell said. A lot of anticipation, not much promise or delivery.

The former Spice Girl flashed a shocked smile before hurling a cup of water on Cowell midway through the joke and stormed offstage.

Mel B was back in her judge's chair for the next act after a commercial break.

He should know if you say something inappropriate he’s gonna, like, get stuff thrown at him. In a friendly way. I made sure there was no ice in it this time,” said Mel Brown, who has thrown water at Cowell before.

I told him he was an a–hole and that was it, and he goes, ‘Oh, whatever.

The singer has been dealing with a disastrous breakup with estranged hubby Stephen Belafonte after filing for divorce in March and won a restraining order against him in April after accusing him of emotional and physical abuse. Belafonte has denied the allegations.
