Hillary Clinton calls Donald Trump a ‘creep’ who made her skin crawl in new book 'What Happened'

Former US Democratic party presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is pulling punches at US president, Donald Trump after calling the president, a 'creep' who made her ‘skin crawl’ in a new book.

In an excerpt from her new book What Happened, which was released on Wednesday, Clinton revealed what she was really thinking during the second presidential campaign debate in 2016 in which Trump loomed behind her around the stage.

This is not OK, I thought, Clinton writes.
It was the second presidential debate, and Donald Trump was looming behind me. Two days before, the world heard him brag about groping women. Now we were on a small stage and no matter where I walked, he followed me closely, staring at me, making faces. It was incredibly uncomfortable.

According to her, Trump attempted to "intimidate" her by standing behind her as she answered questions.

It was incredibly uncomfortable, she writes.
He was literally breathing down my neck. My skin crawled... What would you do?

Clinton questions whether she should have fired up and told him to "back up, you creep".

Do you stay calm, keep smiling and carry on as if he weren’t repeatedly invading your space? Or do you turn, look him in the eye, and say loudly and clearly, ‘back up you creep. Get away from me. I know you love to intimidate women, but you can’t intimidate me so back up,' Clinton writes.
I chose option A. I kept my cool, aided by a lifetime of dealing with difficult men trying to throw me off, she writes.
I did, however, grip the microphone extra hard.

The debate was held on October, 9, 2016, just days after a tape has been released where Trump bragged to Access Hollywood host Billy Bush about groping women. An audio that threatened to derail Trump’s White House race as Republicans sought to distance themselves from the GOP standard bearer.

Clinton says she wrote the book to “pull back the curtain” behind a campaign many thought she was destined to win.

Every day I was a candidate for president, I knew that millions of people were counting on me. And I couldn’t bear the idea of letting them down. But I did. I couldn’t get the job done. And I’ll have to live with that for the rest of my life, she said.

The excerpt was released on MSNBC's "Morning Joe".
