15-year-old mother found living in a trash house in Girne

A 15-year-old girl with a 2-year-old child has been found living in a filthy house filled with garbage in Girne, Cyprus. 

According to report, the girl who is five months pregnant has been living alone in the house with a child without electricity, water and toilet.  

The notice was made known to Girne municipality following a tip off. The Municipality Cleaning Officers arrived at the house in police quarters on Thursday last week and helped cleaned the house.

Further investigation revealed that the girl is a daughter of a Bulgarian national who had been living in the TRNC for about 10 years.  

The municipality Mayor said his team are working hard to make the house a livable house with great effort and sensitivity. 

He also promised to provide the basic necessary living conditions for the girl and her baby by the state support.
