Arsenal name their price for Alexis Sanchez

Arsenal are preparing for Alexis Sanchez to join Manchester City, but they have no intention of making it easy. Sanchez has one year left of his contract at the Emirates, and Manchester City are preparing an initial offer of £50m for the 28-year-old Chilean forward. However, Arsenal have no need to compromise on the fee and will set an asking price of £80m. City are also in negotiations for Kyle Walker and Benjamin Mendy.

Conte furious after Lukaku failure

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is furious after the club missed out on Everton striker Romelu Lukaku. The Italian manager had expected Lukaku to arrive to replace Diego Costa, but he may now have to retain the unsettled Costa for at least another season. Conte has yet to sign the new deal offered to him by Chelsea, and there is a worry that he could join one of the Italian clubs that are interested in him.

Lukaku fee could reach £100m

The Star believe that the transfer fee for Everton's Lukaku could reach £100m, with £85m being assured, plus another £15m in potential add-ons depending on the success of the 24-year-old Belgian in his time at Old Trafford. Everton's chairman Bill Kenwright negotiated such a high fee as part of a track record of successful negotiating with the bigger clubs, starting with Wayne Rooney over a decade ago.
