Manchester United sign Nemanja Matic from Chelsea

Manchester United have completed the signing of Serbian midfielder, Nemanja Matic from Chelsea on a three-year contract for a reported fee of £40 million.

The player, who turns 29 on August 1, will be reunite with former boss Jose Mourinho as he becomes the club's third signing of the summer after the arrivals of Victor Lindelof and Romelu Lukaku.

Nemanja is a Manchester United player and a Jose Mourinho player. He represents everything we want in a footballer; loyalty, consistency, ambition, team player, Mourinho told the club's official website.

Matic who made 30 starts in Antonio Conte's team last season at Stamford Bridge, expressed his delight at joining United.

I have enjoyed my time at Chelsea and would like to thank the club and the fans for their support. I cannot wait to meet my new team-mates and to start training with them, Matic said.
