Manchester United agree £75m Romelu Lukaku fee, end Morata talks - sources

Reports emerging from England say Manchester United have agreed a £75 million deal with Everton to sign striker Romelu Lukaku, ending their interest in Real Madrid's Morata although sources in Everton has insisted no deal is in place, reports ESPN.

According to ESPN, a source close to United who made the revelation said United's Jose have also stopped negotiations with Real Madrid over Alvaro Morata after the Spanish side refused to drop their asking price.

They are hopeful a deal for Lukaku, 24 can be completed in time for the Belgium striker to be in the squad that departs for the preseason tour of the United States on Sunday said the report.

Meanwhile an Everton source, said Chelsea remain in the race for the striker and nothing has yet been agreed.

Jose knows Lukuku from his time in charge at Chelsea as it was Mourinho who sanctioned Lukaku's sale to Everton in 2014.

Lukaku has proven his one of the Premier League's most prolific strikers in his three seasons at Goodison Park, scoring 71 goals in 133 games.
