US power couple, Beyoncé and Jay-Z's have named their new born twins. With the twin's big sister named Blue Ivy, you would expect the twins were always going to have an unusual names.

Despite the couple's silence on their new babies - they have yet to even officially confirm the birth - now their names appear to have finally emerged.
 
According to E! News, the couple named their two new babies Rumi Carter and Sir Carter, while TMZ, who was first to report the story said that Beyonce and Jay Z had filed trademarks to protect the names per the United States Patent and Trademark Office.  
 
According to TMZ the company run by Beyonce and Jay Z filed legal documents on Friday to secure the rights to the unusual monikers.

According to the filing, they requested trademarks to be used for various merchandise, including baby teething rings, baby carriages and strollers. 

While both names are distinctly unusual choices, Sir is the more uncommon of the two - with the name normally used as a title before a man's first name while Rumi is a Japanese girls name.
