Two women die in separate road collisions in North Cyprus
Two Turkish Cypriot women were killed in two separate car accidents in the early hours of Saturday morning reports Turkish Cypriot media.
According to reports, one of the women identified as Seda Bertan, 26, from Elia, was driving on the Lefke to Lefkosia road at about 1.50am when she lost control of her car on a bend and collided head on with another vehicle. She was severely wounded and died later in hospital.
The second woman identified as Elif Dolmacı, 24 from Lapta, lost her life some three hours later after she lost control of her car and hit a tree near Exometohi, on the Lefkosia to Iskele road.
According to report, her car burst into flames with the woman still inside. Authorities later confirmed she had died due to the injuries sustained.
Funerals for both women were expected to take place later on Saturday.
