Rise to Wisdom - Dealing with your anger
Welcome to another episode of Rise to Wisdom. Our
topic of discussion on this week's episode is: 'Dealing with your anger'.
A dad was once fixing and cleaning his beautiful car which he had worked so hard on to afford. Suddenly, he heard a screeching sound. It was his 4-year-old son scratching the car with a stone.
A dad was once fixing and cleaning his beautiful car which he had worked so hard on to afford. Suddenly, he heard a screeching sound. It was his 4-year-old son scratching the car with a stone.
Overwhelmed by anger, the dad took his son and decided to punish him.
The man took the child's hand and hit it many times; not realizing he was using a wrench. His son cried and screamed for his father's mercy.
The mother had to cut in since she knew that the dad was doing some serious damage. She took their son to the hospital and the doctor confirmed that the child lost all his fingers due to multiple fractures.
The son, easily forgetting the terror his father brought on him, so innocently asked,
"Dad, when will my fingers grow back?"
Instantly, the father uncontrollably broke into tears.
When they got home, his father rushed into the basement to see the object that started it all, he kicked it a lot of times.
Devastated by his own actions, he decided to checkout the scratches the child drew on his car.
His car stood there, still flawless except for the scratch (write-up) that read:
I LOVE YOU, DADDY.
The next day that man committed suicide...
Moral:
Anger and Love have no limits; choose the latter to have a beautiful, lovely life..... Things are to be used and people are to be loved. But the problem in today's world is that, People are used and things are loved....
Let's be careful to keep this thought in mind: Things are to be used and People are to be loved.
Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions. Watch your actions; they become habits. Watch your habits they become character. Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.
If you don't share this tale nothing bad will happen; if you do, you might change someones life.
