Premier League fixtures for the 2017-18 season out
The English Premier League fixtures for the 2017-18 season are out as Champions Chelsea begin the 2017-18 League season with a home game against Burnley. The other fixtures will see Manchester United welcome West Ham United to Old Trafford, Arsenal play Leicester City at the Emirate, Manchester City travel to newly promoted Brighton in their first game back in the top flight, Liverpool face
Watford and Spurs play away at Championship winners, Newcastle while Huddersfield, whose last season in
the top-flight was 1971-72, will play Crystal Palace all on the opening weekend on August 12 and 13.
The other opening weekend fixtures will see Everton take on Stoke City at Goodison Park, West Bromwich Albion at home to Bournemouth and Swansea City travel to Southampton.
Key Games
Chelsea will be the first team to face Tottenham at Wembley in the Premier League. August concludes with a clash between Liverpool and Arsenal prior to the international break for the 2018 World Cup qualifiers. The other standout fixtures of the season will see Chelsea play Arsenal on September 16, host City on September 30 before welcoming Manchester United to Stamford Bridge on November 4.
Derbies
The first Manchester derby of the season at Old Trafford is scheduled for December 9, the week after United have traveled to Arsenal, while the first meeting of the campaign between the Red Devils and Liverpool is on October 14.
The first Merseyside derby on the same weekend as the Manchester derby, will see Liverpool host Everton at Anfield.
Arsenal will play away at Chelsea on September 19 and are the hosts for the first north London derby in November, with the return at Wembley taking place in early February.
The first weekend in November will see two games between clubs hoping to challenge for the title as Chelsea play at home to Manchester United, while Manchester City face Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium.
Boxing Day Fixtures
Chelsea will be at home to Brighton on Boxing Day, Liverpool take on Swansea at Anfield, United host Burnley at Old Trafford and Tottenham play Southampton at Wembley while Manchester City travel to Newcastle.
New Year Eve and New Year Day fixtures
The fixtures on December 30 and January 1 will see Arsenal host Chelsea at the Emirate and Everton vs. United . being the highlights on New Year's Day.
