Liverpool sign Mohamed Salah from Roma for a club record fee

Liverpool has completed the signing of Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah from Roma on a five-year deal worth  €39 million (£34.3m) and will reportedly earn around £90,000 a week.

According to Roma, the deal was worth an initial €42 million (£36.9m), which could rise by another €8 million (£7m) in add-ons, which would make him Liverpool's record signing eclipsing the £35m Liverpool paid to Newcastle for Andy Carroll in January 2011.
Salah, 25 who passed a medical on Thursday before finalizing the switch to Anfield becomes Liverpool's second signing of the summer and will take over the No. 11 shirt.

I'm very excited to be here. I'm very happy, Salah told Liverpool's website.
I will give 100 per cent and give everything for the club. I really want to win something for this club.

Salah helped Roma finish as runners-up to Juventus in Serie A last season scoring 15 goals in 31 league appearances.

Mohamed has the perfect mix of experience and potential -- this is a really exciting signing for us," manager Jurgen Klopp said.

He knows the Premier League, he has pedigree in the Champions League and he is one of the most important players for his country. His record in Italy has been outstanding and he possesses qualities that will enhance our team and squad.
