Jose Mourinho pays tribute to late father

Manchester united manager, Jose Mourinho has paid tribute to his late father, Jose Manuel Mourinho Felix, who died on Sunday June 25th at the age of 79 after a protracted Pneumonia and other illnesses.

Mourinho posted a a touching black and white photograph of himself as a child alongside his father on his Instagram account.

Felix Mourinho in his active days made over 250 appearances as a goalkeeper for Vitoria Setubal and Belenenses, and also played once for the Portugal national team  before going into coaching where he enjoyed a 20-year coaching career, the same way his son, Jose is doing presently. He also managed Mourinho during the Portuguese’s early playing days.

As a player, Mourinho Felix won the Taca de Portugal in the 1964-65 season while on the books of Vitoria Setubal.

According to reports in the Portuguese media, the funeral for Felix Mourinho is due to take place on Tuesday.
