Gist from Cyprus: Zimbabwe girl test positive for HIV, leaves North Cyprus
A Zimbabwe girl schooling in one of the universities in North Cyprus has returned back to her home country after she discovered that she is HIV positive following a blood test at a Lefkosia hospital.
The Zim girl whose identity we can not reveal for personal reason has only been in the country for four months and decided to go process her resident permit (Muhaceret). But her story turned sour when test results revealed that she is HIV positive.
Upon interrogation by authorities, she claimed that she arrived the island HIV negative and went further to claim that she may have contacted the deadly virus from her boyfriend who is a Nigerian.
She however refused to identify this boyfriend of hers when pressed further. And you know what that means, she has to immediately leave the island as a precautionary measure by Cyprus authorities.
We urged and warn every boy and girl out there to be very careful who you relate with in any form. HIV/AID is not written on the carriers face, shine your eyes!
