Fire raised down building in Hamitköy

Properties worth thousands of Euros were lost on Thursday night when fire gutted a residential building at Hamitköy, North Cyprus at about 11pm.

According to an eyewitness who was there at the time of the incident, the house which also serve as a souvenir warehouse was totally burnt down. 

The cause of the fire outbreak still is yet to be ascertain but reports from one of Cyprus dailies, had t that the fire broke out on the ground floor of the building after a flammable material fell from a carton of garbage in front of the building.

Fire fighters swiftly intervened in the burning property and were able to put off the fire which created serious fear and anxiety.

No human casualty was recorded as every occupant of the house escaped unhurt.  

Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
