Bellerin pledges to donate £50 for every minute he plays to victims of Grenfell Tower fire

Arsenal and Spain defender Hector Bellerin has pledged to make a donation to the victims of the Grenfell Tower fire following the heartbreaking incident in west London, where 30 people have been confirmed dead with 70 missing after a devastating blaze gutted the Tower.

The 22-year-old is currently on international duty for Spain's Under-21 side ahead of their opening match in the European Championship which takes place on Saturday evening against Macedonia.

Bellerin took to his Twitter account to confirm that he will be donating as much as £50 to victims of the Grenfell Tower for every minutes he plays at the tournament.

Should Bellerin play all 90 minutes in all three of Spain's group games that would mean a donation of £13,500. Should heavily-favoured Spain reach the final and Bellerin in an ever-present, then that total would rise to £22,500.

Bellerin's decision comes after Manchester City star, Raheem Sterling pledged money to help families affected by the fire
