Almost half of UK wants Theresa May to quit as Prime Minister

Almost half of Britons think that Theresa May should quit as British Prime Minister, according to a recent polls conducted since the general election last week.
 
A YouGov poll for the Sunday Times suggested that 48 percent of Britons thought she should step down as Prime Minister, with 38 percent saying that she should remain. Also another survation for the Mail on Sunday suggested that 49 percent of Britons wants May to quit, with 38 percent saying she should remain in the post.

The Survation study gave Labour a five-point lead over the Tories, with Jeremy Corbyn's party on 45 per cent and the Tories on 39 percent.

According to a poll by YouGov, it found that May and Corbyn are neck-and-neck when the public were asked who would make the best prime minister - with both leaders on 39 per cent.

According to the Survation poll, if May resigned some 41 percent thought she should go immediately, while 20 percent believed within the next six months and 23 percent said after negotiating Brexit.

In the same poll, Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson was favorite to replace her, with 26 percent choosing him.
