Four small tremors shakes Cyprus
Four small earthquakes measuring between 2.9 and 4.2 on the Richter scale struck the coast of Cyprus on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Turkish Republic of north Cyprus (TRNC) Meteorology Department, the first tremor measuring 3.3 on the Richter scale at a depth of 5.7km, took place in the Gazimağusa-Sotira area.
Thereafter, another tremor took place off the North Western coast of Cyprus at 3:30pm on Tuesday. Two other quakes were also recorded off the coast of Antalya.
According to reports, the quake off the coast of Cyprus was measured at 4.2 on the Richter scale at a depth of 14.9km while the first quake off the coast of Antalya was measured as 4.1 at a depth of 5.5km.
The second quake off the coast of Antalya which took place at 4pm was measured as 2.9 on the Richter Scale 31.2km at a depth of 31.2km.
