FIFA investigating Paul Pogba's world record deal
World football governing body, FIFA has opened an investigation into Paul Pogba's world-record transfer from Juventus to Manchester United last summer.
A FIFA spokesperson on Wednesday confirmed that its Transfer Matching System "has been requesting information on the matter."
The French man broke the world transfer record in the summer of 2016 when he signed for Manchester United for £89 million.
It is not clear what aspect of Paul Pogba's transfer was under FIFA is investigating but several media outlets in France are alleging that it could be about the £41m his agent Mino Raiola, reportedly pocketed from the deal.
