Russians protests in the streets of Moscow calling on Putin to quit

Hundreds of Russians on Saturday lined up in central Moscow under the watch of riot police to hand calling on President Vladimir Putin to quit.

The protests which also took place in other cities saw the protesters hand over handwritten appeals for Putin to quit.
Putin, 64 has been Russia president for the last 17 years, and is yet to indicate his intentions to run for another term in next March's election.

The protest called "We're sick of him" - was organised by the Open Russia movement founded by Kremlin critic Mikhail Khodorkovsky who was once Russia's richest man and was freed by Putin in 2013 after spending a decade in jail for fraud, a charge Khodorkovsky said was politically-motivated.
