Lil Wayne announces he is now a member of Jay-Z’s ROC nation

US Rapper, Lil Wayne is now a part of the Roc Nation family owned by rapper Jay Z. He made the revelation during a show at Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania on Monday this week.

Lil Wayne from New Orleans told the crowd that;

“Is it cool if I just say it? It’s the Roc,” Wayne said. “You know I’m a member of that team now.”

After sharing the news, the 34-year-old rapper put up the Roc’s diamond hand sign before launching back into his performance. Wayne has been contemplating a deal with Jay Z for years, dating back to the days of Roc-A-Fella Records. 

If his claim are true, the longtime Cash Money Records artist will finally move to another label for the first time in his career.
We should also note that Wayne’s announcement may end up being another false alarm as the veteran MC has previously teased a deal with Roc Nation. Back in 2015, the rapper said he signed a deal with Jay Z. As it turned out, Wayne simply secured a partnership with Tidal.
If Wayne has actually signed with Roc Nation, there certainly have been hints about it over the past few months. Back in November, Wayne shouted out the Roc at the Camp Flog Gnaw Festival.
