Kanté, Hazard and Ibrahimovic on PFA player of the year award shortlist
Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Chelsea stars Eden Hazard and N'Golo Kante, as well as Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez are among the six candidates shortlisted for this season's PFA Player of the Year award.
They are joined on the list by Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane and Everton's Romelu Lukaku who will both turn 24 in the coming weeks were also both nominated for the Young Player of the Year Award.
Chelsea lead the nominations for the PFA Player of the Year award with two nominations. Hazard won the award in 2014-15, while Kante, was shortlisted last year for his part in Leicester's remarkable season but did not make the top three.
Ibrahimovic, 35, has had an impressive first season in the Premier League with Manchester United, with 17 goals in 27 Premier League, and 28 in all competitions
Kane, who won the young player award in 2014-15 and the Golden Boot last season, has scored 19 goals in 22 games for a Spurs this season.
Lukaku currently leads the Premier League scoring chart with 23 goals this season, four ahead of Kane, and has also provided six assists making him the player involved in most goals, 29.
Sanchez, has been involved in18 goals 9 assists but Arsenal's dip in form after the turn of the year makes him the outsider of the six.
Also included in the shortlist for the young player award is Tottenham's Dele Alli, Leroy Sane of Manchester City, Sunderland goalkeeper Jordan Pickford and Burnley centre-back Michael Keane.
The winners will be announced at Grosvenor House in London on Sunday, April 23.
