'I thought it would be easier' - Donald Trump reflects on first 100 days as US president
Just barely one day to his first 100 days in office, US president, Donald Trump has revealed how he thought that being the president of the most powerful nation in the world was an easy task but now he seems to have come to reality with all that comes with being the president of the United States.
Reflecting on his first 100 days in office so far in a recent interview with Reuters on Thursday, the New York billionaire said
'I loved my previous life, I loved my previous life. I had so many things going. I actually, think this is more work than my previous life. I thought it would be easier. I do miss my old life, I like to work. But this is actually more work. I like to drive, I can't drive any more."
The last 100 days
has featured no major legislative wins and low approval ratings for Trump. According to him, he misses driving and feels as if he is in a cocoon.
'And, while I had very little privacy, in my old life because, you know, I've been famous for a long time. I really think this is much less privacy than I've seen before. This is, you know, something that's really amazing. At the same time, you're really into your own cocoon because there's such massive protection, that you really can't go anywhere," he added.
Trump assumed public office for the first time when he entered the White House
on January 20 after he defeated former Secretary of State Hillary
Clinton in an upset.
Saturday April 29 marks his first 100 days in the presidency.
