EU would welcome UK back with open arms if it decides to stay - European parliament president
The president of the European parliament, Antonio Tajani has said that the EU would welcome Britain back to the regional bloc with open arms if voters changed their minds about Brexit
after the UK election in June.
Tajani made the remarks after a meeting with British Prime Minister Theresa May in London on Thursday to discuss Brexit with the UK government.
According to him, the departure process which was triggered in March could be easily reversed by the remaining 27 other member countries, if there was a change of government in the UK after the general election, adding that the process would not even require a court case.

"If the UK, after the election, wants to withdraw (Article 50), then the procedure is very clear," he said in an interview with the Guardian.
"If the UK wanted to stay, everybody would be in favour. I would be very happy," he added.
