Anthony Joshua did a Mohammed Ali after defeating heavyweight Klitschko

After a night when he came out from a darkening place in front of 90,000 Wembley crowd to end the Klitschko heavyweight era and emerging into the dazzling light of heavy weight greatness, Anthony Joshua has been proclaimed by fans as the new Muhammad Ali after a picture of their two most famous knockouts went viral side by side on social media.

Joshua, 27 stopped heavyweight legend Wladimir Klitschko in the eleventh round thanks in part to an explosive uppercut.

Many famous pictures of Ali exist, but none more iconic than the American standing over his fallen foe, Spnny Liston in their heavyweight title fight.

The young British whose real name is Anthony Oluwafemi Olaseni Joshua gained a whole new level of admirers as he stopped Wladimir Klitschko, 41.

Joshua, who is unbeaten in all 19 professional fights, added the WBA “super” version of the title to his own IBF belt, stopping one of boxing’s finest old champions.

He is right now being hailed as Mohammed Ali reincarnated on social media.
