‘You are the future of Europe’ - Turkey's president Erdogan urges Turks living in Europe to have at least five children

Turkey's president Recep Tayyip Erdogan wants Turks to take over Europe and by so doing, has urged all Turks living in Europe to have at least five children and live in the “best houses” saying because they are the “future of Europe” and that it would be the best response to the “injustices” imposed on expatriates there.

Erdogan made the comments in the city of Eskisehir on Friday last week while campaigning for an April 16 constitutional referendum vote that would bring in a new constitution and give more powers to the president.

“Go live in better neighbourhoods. Drive the best cars. Live in the best houses. Make not three, but five children. Because you are the future of Europe. That will be the best response to the injustices against you.”

The comments is the latest in a string of insults aimed at the continent following Turkey's major diplomatic row with Germany and the Netherlands after two Turkish ministers were bared from addressing a crowd of Turks in a campaign rallies in Rotterdam last week, and then accused the Germans of acting like “Nazi remnants,” and having a “rotten” character.
