Saudi Arabia university warns female students to avoid short haircuts
A Saudi Arabia university has warned its female students that faced immediate dismissal if they are caught imitating men in short haircuts and outfits.
According to media report on Tuesday, the Imam Mohammed bin Saud Islamic University in Riyadh sent the warning messages, and that the decision will be enforced beginning from April.
According to the university, students who violates the new rule would be suspended immediately without previous warning.
They are also taught by females, except at universities, while in case of male teachers they are either teach behind partitions or the students should be fully covered.

“The decision covers women with very short haircuts as such styles are considered by conservative Muslims as a sin for imitating men,” it noted.Saudi Arabia follows gender segregation in all of its sectors including education where female students in different educational levels study in separate buildings from males.
