North Korea warns US against its planned joint military exercise with South Korea, claiming it would lead to nuclear disaster

North Korea on Monday issued a warning to the US that a joint military exercises with neighbors, South Korean which it called "the most undisguised nuclear war maneuvers," will dive the Korean Peninsula and northeast Asia toward "nuclear disaster."


The warning comes after the US military announced that it has begun moving equipment for a possible missile defense system to it's ally South Korea.

North Korean's United Nation's ambassador, Ja Song Nam, in a letter to the UN Security Council on Monday said the United States was using nuclear-propelled aircraft carriers, nuclear submarines, nuclear strategic bombers and stealth fighters in the joint exercises that began Wednesday last week.

"It may go over to an actual war," Ja warned of the military drills, "and, consequently, the situation on the Korean Peninsula is again inching to the brink of a nuclear war."

North Korea on Monday fired four banned ballistic missiles, in apparent reaction to the US-South Korean exercises of which three of them landed in the ocean near.
