New executives of the National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, Turkish Zone visits the Rector of the Cyprus International University

The new executives of the National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, Turkish Zone on Thursday March 2, 2017, paid a courtesy visit to the Rector of Cyprus International University, CIU, to formally  introduce the new executives.

Also at the meeting were the outgoing NANS president, Mr. Salim Hamza Ringim, the adviser to the rector CIU, Mr. Mehmet Toycan, the president of the Nigeria Student Union in CIU, Mr. Ifeoluwa Wole Osho, and some special advisers to the new president-elect.

The new NANS president-elect, Mr. Akhayere Evidence who is also a student at CIU, introduced himself and his executives to the rector and also outline the importance of the visit. He went further to indulge the rector on what to expect from the body in the next one year.

The rector welcomed the new president-elect, and all those present at the meeting and expressed his joy that the school (CIU) will be serving as the main office of the body in the next one year. 

He promised to provide a befitting office for the body as well as rendering all necessary assistant to the body in other for it to achieve its maximum goals.

The rector also raised awareness on the issue of several Nigerians and other foreign students, who had fallen prey to wonder schools that doesn’t exist, urging the new executives to do the best they can to send signal and warnings to others regarding the activities of these non-existent institutions.

Also the new president-elect Mr. Evidence had earlier in the week went on a familiarization tour to the office of the director of international centre, CIU.

The new president-elect introduced some members of his cabinets to Dr. Ugo Elinwa, the director of the centre and briefed him on some of the things to expect from the new administration.

Dr. Ugo congratulated the new president-elect and promised to work with the body as regards their activities in CIU.
