Near East University student cries out over election malpractice, wants justice
A Nigerian student at the Near East University, NEU, Cyprus who contested for president in the just concluded 2017 election of the Nigeria Student Association of the university cries out over election malpractice and is seeking justice.
According to Thankgod, the NSA-NEU election was not free and fair citing several irregularities. He claimed that the election was hijacked by people from a certain region who by no mean had no manifesto or a constituted cabinet.
Mr. Thankgod called on necessary authorities including the National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS Turkish Zone to look into the issue and call for a reelection.
Talking Point:
- What do you think about his claims?
- Can any Nigerian students at NEU testify to his claims?
- Do you think there should be a rerun election?
- Do you see the issue endangering the unity of Nigerians in Cyprus/Turkey?
lets talk....
