ISIS claim responsibility for Westminster attack

Islamic State group, ISIS, have claimed responsibility for the devastating Westinster attack carried out by a British-born extremist on Wednesday which took the lives of four people, including a police officer and leaving several others seriously wounded.
The attacker who was identified as Khalid Masood was once investigated by MI5.

The terror group through its affiliated new agency, A’maq news, claimed the attacker was a “soldier of the Islamic State” who answered "ISIS call to target citizens of the coalition."
"The perpetrator of the attacks yesterday in front of the British parliament in London is an Islamic State soldier and he carried out the operation in response to calls to target citizens of the coalition," reads a statement from A'maq.
According to the The Sun, following the attack on Wednesday, ISIS supporters took to social media to celebrate the atrocity claiming it was a “revenge” for the UK strikes in Mosul, Iraq calling it “blood for blood”.

Four people including the attacker lost their lives while about 40 people were injured with 29 still in hospital.

Police has since arrested eight people at six locations in London and Birmingham in the investigation into Wednesday's attack.
