Cyprus Talks: UN to host dinner meeting for community leaders
In an attempt to get the stalled Cyprus reunification talks back on track, the United Nations Special Advisor to Cyprus will host a dinner for the two
leaders of the divided island on Sunday April 2, the UN announced on Monday.
The dinner meeting between Greek Cypriot president, Nicos Anastasiades, and Turkish Cypriot leader, Mustafa Akıncı, will be hosted by UN Special Envoy to Cyprus, Espen Barthe Eide at the Ledra Palace Hotel within the UN buffer zone in Nicosia.
According to diplomatic sources, both leaders were already contacted and a “new ways of moving forward” discussed with them .
