Who says there is recession in Zimbabwe? spare us that gist for the mean time as the country's ruling party, Zanu PF is reportedly planning on spending a massive $2,5 million to celebrate the 93rd birthday of the world and Africa's oldest leader.

Despite the country's struggling economy, and present recession, Robert Mugabe who has ruled the country for over thirty years will be celebrating his 93rd birthday on Tuesday February 21 and the event is billed to consumed as much as $2,5 million.

And according to the party's youth secretary, Kudzai Chipanga, he said the money is expected to be raised by ten provinces with each province contributing about $250,000 each towards the birthday party through provincial structures, individuals, private companies, parastatals and local authorities.
