US Court denies Donald Trump request to immediately restore travel ban

A US appeal court ruling has dealt US president, Donald Trump executive order on travel ban a further setback after the court on Saturday denied the US Justice Department's request for the immediate reinstatement of an order signed by Trump barring refugees and people from seven Muslim majority countries from entering the US.

Trump administration had appealed a temporary order restraining the nationwide travel ban by a federal judge in Seattle on Friday last week declaring that the judge overstepped his authority by temporarily blocking the ban nationwide.

The Court instead asked challengers of the ban to respond to the appeal filed by the Trump administration, and for the Justice Department to file a counter-response by Monday afternoon.

The court's refusal of an immediate stay means people from the seven countries affected by Trump's order will now be allowed to enter the US, for now, while the legal battles continue.

Meanwhile Trump, in a tweet on his Twitter handle, mocked Robart, who was appointed by former US President, George Bush, calling him a "so-called judge" whose "ridiculous" ruling "will be overturned" before adding that; "Because the ban was lifted by a judge, many very bad and dangerous people may be pouring into our country. A terrible decision."

Talking Point:
-Will this mark the end of Mr Trump's travel ban?
-Do you think citizens from the affected countries will take advantage of this ruling to enter the US?
-Do you also see Trump's perceived enemies (Terrorist) taking advantage of this ban to enter the US?
Lets talk.
