What is success?

By what is measured

Is it defined by wealth of fortune

or By life, longevity and experience?

is success a destination or a journey? 
is it singular to one or common to all

is it reversible?

is it universal or altering?

Is it all or none?

How is success attained?

is there a way or many

is it by work or chance

by fortune or favour

through opulence or necessity

through sacrifice over gains

beauty or brains

obtained in life or death

is it obtained in all,one or none

Who is successful?

the achieved or achieving

the one without a house or the house with no one

the child with no mother or the mother of many children

the child surpassing a father or a father beyond the reach of his child

alone in this world or surrounded by a ton

the voice of the most or the voice of the one

a child unborn or a man in the grave

is the successful in a plane or on a bus

is she all of this or none

Why do I thirst for

an idea I can’t define,

a thing I can’t obtain,

a person I know not?
