North Cyprus government increases minimum wage
The government of the Turkish Republic of North Cyprus TRNC, has increased the minimum gross wage of workers in the country.
According to report by BRT, the Minimum Wage Commission in a meeting on Thursday February 2, unanimously agreed to increase the minimum wage from 1,757TL to 2,020 Turkish Lira which will come into effect as of February 1.
As such, workers on the minimum wage scale will now earn 11.65TL per hour, 93.27TL daily, 466.15TL weekly, and 2020TL monthly.
