Los Angeles ranked as world's most clogged city
When you talk about getting stuck in traffic for several hours, your mind quickly reminds you of that experience you once had in your local city. You can be pardoned to think that, that experience is the worst in world but that is not really so as Los Angeles in the United States has been ranked as the world's most clogged city.
According to transportation analytics firm Inrix, drivers in the car-crazy California metropolis spent 104 hours last year in congestion beating second-place Moscow, the Russia capital city at 91 hours and third-place New York at 89.
Among the 1064 cities across 38 countries studied, the US had half of the top 10 most congested cities in the world
says Inrix. According to transportation analytics firm Inrix, drivers in the car-crazy California metropolis spent 104 hours last year in congestion beating second-place Moscow, the Russia capital city at 91 hours and third-place New York at 89.
In 2016, the US was ranked as the most traffic-clogged developed country with drivers averaging 42 hours stuck in traffic.
Completing the top five most congested city is San Francisco at fourth, Bogota, the capital city of Colombia is fifth. Sao Paulo (Brazil), London (UK), Atlanta(US), Paris (France) and Miami (US) completed the top 10 respectively.
China or Japan were not included in the ranking.
