A boat carrying 93 migrants including 42 youngsters and 17 women has landed within the island's northeastern coast said Cypriot police on Saturday.
A
police official who spoke on condition of anonymity told The Associated Press that the boat was spotted some 15
kilometers (9 miles) off the coast before landing near the village of
Kato Pyrgos.
Police said they found the migrants at the landing point shortly after midnight Saturday and believe that the journey started from
Mersin, Turkey.
The acting Commander of Cyprus'
Civil Defense, Loukas Hadjimichael told The Associated
Press that all 93 migrants are in good condition and are being transferred
