It's another week again, and this week on Weekly
Motivation Corner, we will be looking at the topic “Mindfulness."

Mindfulness is a state of awareness/consciousness.
It is the state of a person’s mind concerning various issues surrounding daily
life as we know it. The question then becomes ‘What are you mindful of’?
One of the major difference between man and animals,
is his ability to utilize and control his mind; this has made man the most
superior living element on earth. The mind is a powerful tool, and its
utilization which varies from man to man, is the major reason for the
differences in the social, spiritual, and physical status of men.
Human beings are mindful of various things, for some
its fashion, music, games, money, business, religion, food and various other
issues. It is pertinent that we become mindful of the things that will
eventually push us further and make our lives better.
What catches your attention? What kinds of books do
your read? Do you even read? Who are your friends? What meetings do you attend?
Who are your mentors?
Answering these questions is a surefire way of
determining to a great extent what occupies your mind, and if the answers are
not satisfactory, you must look deep within and find what really matters the
most in bettering your life in order to focus your mind power on these things,
deliberating and thinking only about them.
A mindful, positive person is a force to reckon
with, he/she knows what they want, fix their mind only on those things and
achieve success, but a negative mindful person will focus on the wrong things
and head towards failure and problems.
