Wayne Rooney set new Manchester United goal record
Manchester United striker, Wayne Rooney has broken Sir Bobby Charlton's 249 goal record for Manchester United to become the club's greatest goalscorer of all time after scoring his 250th goal in the 1-1 draw against Stoke City in Saturday's
Premier League encounter at the bet365 Stadium.
Former record holder Sir Bobby Charlton who scored the last of his 249 goals for United in a 2-0 victory at Southampton in March 1973, has held the record for more than 43 years.
Rooney, 31 scored in the 94th minute lashing home a wonderful last-gasp free-kick to tie the scores as United were heading for a possible defeat since November, 2016.
It took Rooney 546 club games to reach the new record.
