Wayne Rooney set new Manchester United goal record

Former record holder Sir Bobby Charlton who scored the last of his 249 goals for United in a 2-0 victory at Southampton in March 1973, has held the record for more than 43 years.

Rooney, 31 scored in the 94th minute lashing home a wonderful last-gasp free-kick to tie the scores as United were heading for a possible defeat since November, 2016.
