Turkey extends emergency rule for another 3 months
Turkish
parliament on Tuesday voted in favor of extending the emergency rule in Turkey by a
further three months, with effect from January 19, 2017 announced state-run Anadolu news
agency.
The emergency rule was first imposed in the country following a failed coup carried out by a faction of the Turkish military on July 15, 2016 which left many people dead.
