Turkey dismiss 90,000 public servants
Turkey has dismissed more than 90,000 public servants for their alleged connections to the July, 2016 attempted failed coup.
Recall that more than 240 people were killed during the failed coup while around 40,000 people from the police, military, judiciary, civil service and the education system, were remanded in custody pending their trial for alleged part in the coup.
Following the failed coup, the country also declared a three-month state of emergency which was later extended after its expiration.
125,485 people from the public service had been put through legal proceedings after the attempted coup, and 94,867 of them had so far been dismissed said Labour Minister Mehmet Muezzinoglu to reporters.
