Pastor Adeboye retires as General Overseer of RCCG Nigeria, appoints new GO
The General Overseer of the Redeemed
Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye has reportedly retired as the Head of the Church in Nigeria and on Saturday 7th January 2017 named a new General Overseer for the Church in Nigeria.
Adeboye 74 appointed Pastor Joseph Obayemi, who will oversee the affairs of the church in Nigeria. Before his appointment, Obayemi was deputy General Overseer in charge of Finance and a member of governing council.
Pastor Adeboye made the announcement during the church’s annual
thanksgiving service held at the Church headquarters new 3km auditorium
on Saturday.

The special Assistant to Pastor Adeboye on
Administration and Personnel, Pastor J.F Odesola is now the church's new Secretary while Pastor J.A.
Adeyokunnu is the new Treasurer.
Pastor
Enoch Adeboye who will be 75 in March this year, was appointed the
General Overseer of the Church in 1981, taking over from founder, late
Papa Akindayomi.
