"Big Brother Naija" 2nd edition kicks off with 12 contestants

After 10 years, popular reality TV show "Big Brother Naija" is back on screen as it launched it's second edition with 12 contestants on Sunday January 22, 2017 in South Africa.

Hosting the second edition is media personality Ebuka Obi Uchendu, a former housemate at the first edition. Performing at the launching is Yemi Alade and Flavour.


The 12 contestants includes;
Uriel
Uriel is an indigene of Lagos State, Uriel and was born in Hammersmith, England. She was a contestant on Top Actor Africa 2016, and was the first Nigerian to be evicted from the show

Kemen
Kemwn is 27-year-old fitness trainer from Akwa Ibom. He introduced himself as 'beautiful at heart.' 

Coco Ice
Cocoice is a rapper. She is single and showed off her rapping skills on stage. She also revealed that she is not out to date any of the housemates, but added that, "you can’t say no to love.”

Barry
Barry is a statistician and DJ. He is from Rivers State, but lives in Lagos, Nigeria. 

Marvis
Marvis, is a Mass Communication graduate from Madonna University. She is the 11th of 22 children. She insinuated that living with 12 housemates would be an easy task as she is 'used to living with lots of people.'

Tony
Tony is 6'7 tall and proudly 'made in Naija.' He is a choreographer and  performed at the opening of Big Brother Nigeria first edition in 2006.

Gifty
Gifty, is an actress and model. She described herself as 'great and amazing. She schooled in Ghana but returned to Nigeria to actualize her dreams. 

Somadina
Somadina popularly called Soma is a graphic artist, producer, model and singer, Soma is "a lot of things."
Bisola
Bisola is a singer, actress and OAP. She is popular for her role on "Skinny Girl in Transit" and "The Life of a Nigerian Couple. She was a contestant on the 2008 MTN Project Fame West Africa and a proud mother of a 7-year-old daughter. 

Mimiyonse
Miniyonse is 24-year-old and a Lagos State indigene.

Tokunbo
Tokunbo known as TBoss is 22-year-old and popularly called the 'The Pin Cushion' by her friends.She is from Edo state. She has 8 tattoos and seven piercings. 

Efe
Efe is an indigene of Delta State, but represents Jos where he was born and brought up.
Two more housemates will be joining the house next Sunday but no housemate will be evicted next Sunday.

The reality series will run for 78 days and the winner will win the prize money of 25 million Naira and a brand new KIA Sorento car.
