The Minister of Labour and Social Security Hamza Ersan Saner on Wednesday warned that the amnesty will be the last one to be issued by the ministry and that those affected should apply before the Friday deadline.

The minister stated that a total of 237 Employers had applied for the amnesty since it came into force on November, 29th 2016.

He however warned that anyone who misses the Friday deadline will be shown no tolerance.

Saner added that some residents in TRNC illegally benefited from the amnesty program by leaving the country and paying one month’s minimum wage upon their return or acquired a 45 day visitor’s permit by paying one month’s minimum wage in addition to 250 TL paid to the Immigration Department without having to leave the country.
