39 People killed at an Istanbul nightclub on New Year's Eve

At least 39 people including 15 foreigners were killed and 69 others wounded when a man dressed as Santa attacked a crowded night club in Istanbul, Turkey and opened fire on people celebrating New Year's Eve in the early hour of Sunday morning.

According to reports by Turkish authorities, the gunman shot a police officer outside the club before getting into the nightclub.

Turkish police say they are hunting for the attacker.
