The word 'Brexit' enters the English Oxford dictionary

The term Brexit has been introduced into the Oxford English Dictionary even though Britain has yet to leave the European Union following a referendum in June where Britons voted to leave the EU.

Oxford University Press on Thursday said the term Brexit is among new entries in the reliable Dictionary's latest update.

The word Brexit according to the Oxford English Dictionary is defined as "the (proposed) withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union, and the political process associated with it."

Brexit became a common usage since Britain voted to leave the 28-nation EU.

Another new entry to the dictionary is the related word Grexit - described as a potential Greek exit from the EU's single currency ''The Euros.''

Other new entries in the dictionary include glam-ma, a glamorous grandmother, YouTuber, a producer of material for the video-sharing website, verklempt, an adjective meaning overwhelmed by emotion and "get your freak on", a term for exuberant sex or dancing.
